Solutions Architect

A Global Telecoms Company are recruiting for a Solutions Architect to join their hugely successful and rapidly expanding Manchester based Architecture team. This is a company with a presence in over 150 countries and have enjoyed exponential growth over the past 10 years.

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design of enterprise grade software solutions for a multi-channel global retail business. This role has a primary focus on Payments solutions.
• Ensuring correct software integration procedures are followed as well as promote new ideas and technologies to drive the business forward.
• Identifying, assessing and selecting appropriate technologies and architecture designs to the highest technical standards.
• Work collaboratively across the business with architects, business analysts, software engineers and platform teams to ensure business roadmaps are followed correctly.
• Effectively communicate technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading the design and implementation of systems powering an organisation significant scale, including eCommerce or Multi Channel either as Solutions or Software Architect.
• Significant experience in delivering both custom solutions and of integrating enterprise applications with the associated architectural design patterns and styles.
• Deep understanding of the variety of architectural styles such as Service Orientated Architecture including Microservices, Event Driven Architecture, Client Server Architecture, Rest etc.
• Good experience of working with globally distributed cloud architecture would be a great benefit.
